Difference between doing A&P yourself or Prep Course

Code 1 Maintenance Tucson-AZ

First glance the A&P process may appear to be a daunting process. When I started it felt this way and I understand many Airmen may feel the same. I’ve met many whom expressed their trial and error and expressed how it was a long road for them, therefore I can understand how it may turn off or make Airmen delay their decision and hinder receiving their certificates. A military aircraft technician is considered one of the most demanding jobs in the military, so many may think who has the time to carry on with this daunting process.

Trial and error

Not knowing where to start, you’ll find yourself researching through articles, social media platforms like reddit, FAA regulations, deciphering true statements, etc. This could take several hours, days, and months. You’ll experience trial and error along with precious time wasted.

Once you get the process down and you receive your 8610-2 aka tickets, you still have to go through the gauntlet of studying for the written exams. It’s definitely doable to go through the process without any help. It’s possible to accomplish your written exams and do the practicals from youtube videos. The information is out there.

Time requirements

As many took this path, the process sucked and sucked a lot of time and energy out of them. This is a big reason why I started this school. Unlike many schools, I want to win by helping others and provide as much info as possible. Of course, take the best advice from these schools but also hold students hands and lead the way. I want to ensure I’m the hub and go to place for information, education, and training for anyone seeking airframe and powerplant certificate and FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL). Here is a big reason why you should attend a prep course, they have all the know-how!!! Just call one on how to start.

An easier way

I provide checklist, booklets, social media posts from 4-5 different platforms, and provide briefings so Airmen, Marines, Seamen, and Soldiers get the information they need without going through the hoops. Unlike many schools who depend only on their website and word of mouth, I will personally provide all the information someway somehow because I believe in the value of the certifications.
